SATTU KA GHOL / SHARBAT

The weather is very hot in this part of the world although it is raining on some days. Summers have started in many parts of the world. During summers it is a must to keep our body hydrated and eat naturally cooling foods. Today I am sharing the recipe for Sattu Ka Ghol / Sharbat ,a popular protein drink which is naturally cooling . It is a no cook recipe . You just need a few ingredients and then you can enjoy this incredibly delicious drink.

What is Sattu?

Sattu is a protein-rich flour made from powdered chana (Bengal gram) or other pulses and cereals. It is quite popular in many parts of India such as Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, Uttarakhand and UP. I have used Chana sattu here. Sattu is also made of barley or Jowar (Sorghum). I was introduced to Sattu when we moved to Bhilai .It was a regular affair at their place as they were from Bihar.
