NUTELLA CHOCOLATE COCONUT MOUSSE

This year We Celebrated Valentine’s day with this incredibly delicious Nutella Chocolate Coconut Mousse. It is one of the easiest dessert for any occasion or party. Chocolate lovers don’t need any occasion to celebrate though. Do you agree ? It is not for people who are calorie conscious.There is no harm in indulging such luscious desserts once in a while.I have topped it with some strawberry ,banana and chocolate balls. You need to try it to believe it.

What is the Mousse?

A light spongy food usually containing cream or gelatin. Base can be any flavoring agent like chocolate or fruit puree. It can be made without Gelatin too. A delicate dessert that is enjoyed anytime.

Ingredients for Nutella Chocolate Coconut Mousse:

  • Nutella : A hazel nut spread. In case you do not have nutella , roast a cup of hazel nuts and grind to a fine powder.
  • Coconut Cream: Gives a smooth texture to the mousse with a hint of coconut. You can replace it with full fat coconut milk too.
  • Cocoa Powder: To balance the sweetness from the nutella and get more chocolaty taste.
  • Pitted Dates: I have used a few dates .This is optional.
  • Salt: A pinch of salt is used .
  • Fruits to Garnish–I have used banana and strawberry . You can use any fruit of your choice
  • Chocolate Balls to garnish –This is completely optional.

Recipe for Nutella Chocolate Coconut Mousse:

Ingredients for Nutella Chocolate Coconut Mousse:

  • 1 Cup Nutella
  • 200 ML Coconut Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Pitted Dates
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 Tsp Cocoa Powder
  • Few Strawberries for Garnish
  • 2 Bananas for garnish
  • Chocolate balls for Garnish

Method:

  • Put Nutella , Coconut cream ,pitted dates and Cocoa powder in a blender and pulse untill smooth.
  • Pout this mix into desired containers. Sprinkle with Salt .Cover with cling wrap.
  • Let it set in the fridge overnight.
  • Garnish with strawberries , banana and chocolate balls and serve the delicious mousse.

Notes:
  • You can replace coconut cream with coconut milk.
  • Toppings are optional. You can use any fruit or chocolate of your choice. Use your creativity.
  • It will set in few hours but the best way is to leave it overnight.
  • You can make it in advance and garnish and serve when needed.

  1. I am making this delicious chocolate coconut mousse immediately. I just need to pick up the coconut milk all the other ingredients I have. Its absolutely yum and must have. Love it.

  2. Chocolate coconut mousse looks fantabulous and I am a big fan of desserts with coconut flavour in it. Loved this coconut cream and chocolate combo. The texture is so creamy and one can’t stop eating it.
