Kids are always attracted by junk food. My boys and nieces wanted to go to Mc Donald’s to gobble some burgers. I did not want them to have the junk food and just to make them have something healthy I made these yummy Tikkis that is so easy and quick to make.
Kiddos just loved it and were happy to have home made Tikkis instead of Burgers.
Recipe for Rice & Potato Tikkis
Ingredients:
1 Cup= 250 ML
1 Cup Rice
3 Boiled Potatoes ( Medium sized)
1/2 Cup finely Chopped Onions
1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Tsp Chilli Powder
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
1/2 Tsp Cumin Powder/ Jeera Powder
1/4 Tsp Chaat Masala
1/4 Cup Finely chopped coriander
3/4 Cup Fresh Bread Crumbs
Salt to Taste
Method:
Mash Potatoes and Rice well. Ensure there are no lumps. Mix all the ingredients, shape them into round Tikkis and shallow fry on the Hot Plate. Ensure to shallow fry on both sides of the Tikkis.
Serve hot with Chilli Sauce or green chutney.
