Carrot Kesar Malai Burfi

Diwali the Festival of Lights is enjoyed with great pomp and show all over India. Sweets are an integral part on this occasion.We enjoy this festival with our family and friends.

This Diwali I am celebrating Diwali with my family and friends in India after a long Gap.


Presenting Carrot Kesar Malai Burfi!!

Recipe for Carrot Kesar Malai Burfi:


400 Gms Mawa or Khoya

2 Tsp Ghee

200 Gms Milkmaid(1/2 tin)

2 Tbsp Carrot Puree

Few Strands of Saffron soaked in 2 Tsp Milk

1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder

Few Cashews to garnish


Mash the  Mawa/ Khoya with hand and ensure there are no lumps.

Heat a heavy bottom Pan. Add Ghee. Add Mawa , Milkmaid and mix well for 5 mins. Add carrot Puree and saffron soaked milk.Mix all the ingredients well for 15 mins on low flame. Sprinkle the cardamom powder and mix well.

Grease a small plate with ghee generously.Transfer the Mawa mixture on to the greased plate. Refrigerate for an hour. Cut into desired shape. Garnish with Cashews and Saffron and serve.
