Idli Kachori Muffins

Breakfast is very important for all of us. Sometimes we run out of ideas and with fussy kids you need to make breakfast interesting and appealing to attract them .Here I present a very easy and yummy recipe that can be baked easily and is not time consuming.

Another way to incorporate veggies in to the child’s diet.You can add any veggies and meat of your choice.

Recipe For Kachori Masala:

Ingredients:

1Cup toor dal
4 Garlic pods
2″Ginger
5 Green chillies
Salt to taste.
1/2 Tsp Garam masala

Method:

Boil all the above with approx 1/4 cup of water.The water level should be a little less the level of dal as the cooked dal should be dry.Grind the above and roast in 2 Tbsp of oil till the mixture becomes dry.Add salt and garam masala .

Recipe for Idli Kachori Muffins:

1 cup=250 ml

Ingredients:
1.5 cups Idli batter
Handful of roasted flax seeds
1/2 Tsp Chilli powder
1/2 Tsp pepper powder
Veggies of your choice(i have added beans,carrot,corn and peas)
3 Tsp kachori masala
A pinch of soda /Eno fruit salt
2 Slices of bread torn

Salt to Taste

Method:

Mix all the ingredients.Grease the muffin tray and pour it into the moulds.
Preheat oven for 10 mins at 180C.Place the muffin tray in the pre heated oven for 30 mins.
Check with the toothpick,if the toothpick comes out clean then it is done.

Serve hot with green or red chutney.
