But let us keep the festive spirit by making some delicacies to celebrate the occasion. Presenting Masala Namak Para (Snack) a popular savory snack.

What is Diwali?

This year Diwali falls on Nov 14th. Diwali is a festival of lights. It is one of the most popular Hindu Festival.Diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Home are cleaned and beautifully decorated both inside and outside. Families gift each other and exchange sweets and savory dishes. Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped. This year I would like to request my readers not to burst crackers and be socially responsible. It will help to reduce pollution and people with breathing difficulties can heal faster. Let us do our part without dampening the festive spirits. This year has been tough for everyone ,so let us pledge to heal together with all the positivity around us.

What is the theme for Shhhhh Cooking?

The theme for October is suggested by Poonam who is a versatile blogger and has many traditional and international recipes to her credit. Do check her Laddoo recipe. My partner for this theme is Aruna an amazing blogger at Vasusvegkitchen. She has many traditional Andhra recipes .Some of her recipes makes me so nostalgic as it reminds me of fabulous years spent in Vizag. I gave her two secret ingredients Cardamom and Sesame Seeds. She has whipped up these delicious and refined sugar free Flax Seeds Ladoo.
