Garlic Cheese Buns

Baking is therapeutic. I baked after ages. The whole week was very hectic and stressful. I had to destress today. My boys were busy with classes. Hence decided to surprise them with their favourite Garlic buns. They love cheese . I made  these Cheese Garlic buns before they were home.

The surprise and happiness on their faces made by day.

I was so happy as the buns turned our very well.

Recipe for Garlic Cheese Buns:

Ingredients:

1Cup =250 ML

I packet of Instant Yeast ( 11Gms)

1.5 Cups of All Purpose Flour

1/4 Tsp Salt

3 Garlic pods finely chopped

1 Tsp of Italian Herbs

I Tsp Oregano

2 Tbsp Oil

1/2 Cup Milk

1/4 Cup warm water

1/2 Tsp Sugar

1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese

Method:

Add sugar and yeast to Luke warm water and keep it in a warm place to proof( Approx 10 mins). If the yeast does not proof well throw it and repeat the process.

In the meantime , Mix the flour, chopped garlic, 1.5 Tbsp of oil, Italian herbs, Oregano. Make a well in the Center. Add the yeast concoction .Mix well. Add milk slowly and knead the dough for about 5 mins. You will get a soft stretchy dough. Keep it in a greased bowl( use balance oil to grease the bowl and roll the dough in it once) Cover it with a clean kitchen towel and keep it in a warm place . I had kept it in my microwave( do not switch on the microwave) for about 1 hour or till it doubles in size.

Make small balls , flatten it without much pressure, stuff cheese as much as you want and roll it into round balls. Repeat this process for the balance dough. Place the buns on the the baking tray lined with parchment paper .Cover them and leave it to raise again for 30 mins.

More heat the oven at 190C for 10 mins. Place the buns in the preheated oven and bake it for 20 mins. Brush the buns agin with some milk, Sprinkle some sesame seeds and bake for another 20 to 25 mins.

Let it cool.
