CHAPATI AND RICE FRITTERS

Today I am sharing a leftover makeover dish. It is very easy to make and is equally delicious with simple ingredients at home . Serve as a snack with tea or coffee and enjoy these Chapati and Rice Fritters. There are times when you have leftovers and the family does not want to eat the same food. Then the only option is to present it in a new avatar. I am against food wastage.

Some facts about food waste:

Food wastage is still a major concern in many parts of the world .It is having a major impact on climate change and agriculture. Food waste if not handled or reclaimed properly( through composting) then it will have many negative environmental consequences. The analysis estimated that global food waste was 931 million tonnes of food waste. Many people are aware of this issue and working towards Zero waste by consciously handling food . Awareness is also being created by getting more people to use bio degradable and sustainable products . People are also being encouraged to do composting .

We use food consciously and are working toward zero waste. We don’t like to eat the same food again ,so we create something using it and present it in a new avatar. My family loves it as they are against food wastage. This Chapati and Rice Fritters is one such delicacy.

Wow Preethi what an amazing recipe. I sometimes have 1 roti or paratha left and land up having it for breakfast even though I would preferred something else. Now I know what to make with it. I usually make rice bhajia but this is a new recipe for me.

Wow Preethi what an interesting way to use leftover roti and rice. Fritters looks so crispy and superbly delicious. Rice flour, semolina and cooked rice definitely made these Fritters perfectly crisp.
